The Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition offers in-residence Master’s and Ph.D. programs, a non-thesis Master’s program, an entirely online Master’s program and a Professional Science Master’s (PSM). Students who select in-residence programs will choose to concentrate in either Food Science, Human Nutrition, or the PSM.

Professional Science Master's
The Illinois Professional Science Master’s (PSM) Degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition is designed for those who want careers in science-based settings in positions that combine science with management and leadership responsibilities. The program has a solid core graduate-level curriculum, integrated with business courses such as management and marketing, accounting and finance, and project management.
