Elvira de Mejia receives honorary doctoral degree

Elvira de Mejia

Elvira de Mejia, professor of food science, received an honorary doctoral degree from the Autonomous University of Queretaro (AUQ), Mexico. De Mejia was a founder of the doctoral program in food sciences and head of the chemistry faculty graduate program at AUQ before coming to the U.S. She is honored for her commitment to education and inter-institutional work to promote food sciences.
