Donovan named Vice President-elect of American Society for Nutrition
Dr. Sharon Donovan
Sharon M. Donovan, Ph.D. R.D. assumed the office as Vice President-elect of the American Society for Nutrition (ASN) on June 1, 2009. She will serve as Vice President in 2010, President in 2011 and Past-president in 2012. Dr. Donovan has been an active participant in the society, previously serving as Councilor, Secretary, member of the Transition Board, and Chair of the Lactation Research Interest Section. Currently, she serves on the Strategic Oversight Committee for the society.
The American Society for Nutrition is the preeminent professional organization for nutrition research scientists and clinicians around the world. ASN is dedicated to bringing together the top nutrition researchers, medical practitioners, policy makers and industry leaders to advance our knowledge and application of nutrition. The society was founded in 1928 and currently has a membership of 3,800. ASN publishes The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition and The Journal of Nutrition.
